Pediatric cancer rates have soared by 50% since 1975. Why? Toxicants in our environment. Help us identify what’s harming our children by taking part in our groundbreaking online, patient-driven, global medical study, TheReasonsWhy.Us, in which we are partnered through The Oliver Foundation, Florida, with Baylor College of Medicine, Texas, part of the largest medical complex in the world.
The Oliver Foundation is focused not on detection, diagnosis and treatment, but on prevention. Since cancer is an avoidable disease triggered by external factors, we are driving research into its environmental causes – at the same time as raising public awareness of the dramatic increase in the incidence of cancer among children and teenagers.
While most pediatric cancer studies focus on treatment or finding a “cure,” TheReasonsWhy.Us is the only pediatric cancer study of its kind focused on prevention and cancer causation.
Nearly 16,000 children in the USA contract cancer every year. That’s twice the number of those with pediatric cancer in 1975; a 50% increase in per-capita population terms.
Research has yet to agree specific exposures causing child / teen cancer due to the lack of data concerning environmental factors shared by children who experience the disease.
Our community of like-minded scientists and families are seeking answers to the first question many families ask upon diagnosis: What Caused This? Help us by joining the study today – be counted.
